FFL website platforms in 2026: what to compare

The questions that separate FFL ecommerce platforms: distributors, point of sale, setup fees, product limits, and who builds the site.

Published 2026-10-04

Mainstream site builders restrict firearm sales, so independent dealers choose between platforms built for the industry and plugins bolted onto general tools. Prices are published, but the price is rarely the deciding line.

Ask every vendor these questions

  • Which distributors connect, and is stock live or a nightly file?
  • Is there a cap on products or distributors at the price you are quoted?
  • Is there a setup fee, and a contract?
  • Is the point of sale on the same inventory, or a separate product?
  • Who builds the homepage, and can you change it yourself afterwards?
  • Can you see a live store running on it today?
